This special closing night program will celebrate some of the best short animated films from the past year.

On January 23, the nominees for the 2019 César Awards, France’s equivalent to the Oscars, were announced. Animation First will screen all four finalists in the Best Animated Short category, alongside shortlisted films. This is a rare opportunity for New Yorkers to see these acclaimed works on the big screen.

Animation First audience members will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite short. Those who select the official winner announced at the 42nd César Awards on February 22, 2019, will be eligible to win a prize.
