Explore renowned French illustrator Serge Bloch’s whimsical world and create your own playful illustrations! Embark on his adventure in an augmented reality treasure hunt!

Primarily known for his illustrations and children’s books, Serge Bloch creates characters whose expressive, charming, and complex natures belie the simplicity of his drawings. Working mostly with black ink on white paper, Bloch takes an economical approach to his work such as in his classic children’s series Max and Lili, and the character SamSam who appears in the monthly children’s magazine Pomme d’Api and is the subject of a recent feature film.

For TILT, Bloch will bring his beloved character Mr. Chip to FIAF, creating an augmented reality treasure hunt, where families will be able to discover his adventures throughout the building. Additionally, the illustrator will invite attendees to help him create a life-sized mural in Tinker Auditorium, and explore the interactive app “The Big Adventure of a Little Line,” which will be available on tablets throughout the day.
